02.13.12: Mardi Gras Masquerade for NYCLASS…
Vérité Catering, the catering company that I still occasionally work for will be hosting (and that means I will be there) a Masquerade for NYCLASS on Friday, the 24th!:
The intricate masks, the mystery, the costumes, the food… our charitable vegan masquerade is going to be a extraordinary night! Masks are a MUST, and costumes are highly encouraged. There will be a costume contest and a prize for the best costume, so be sure to put in your best effort to amaze your fellow partygoers!
We’re raising funds for NYCLASS (New Yorkers for Clean, Livable & Safe Streets) to end the abuse of carriage horses on the dangerous streets of NYC. They work relentlessly to pass legislation to take horses off the streets and are providing innovative alternative tourist attractions.
Our raffle tickets will be edible! Get a piece of vegan King’s Cake and if you find one of the 4 little baby Jesuses, you’ll win one of the many cool prizes we have to offer, including an incredible gift basket of vegan delights from Vegan Bodega (www.veganbodega,com)
DRESS CODE: Masks are a MUST, and costumes are highly encouraged. Semi-formal attire
TICKETS: $25 for general admission, includes light appetizers. $45 for VIP tickets, include a piece of King’s Cake, 2 free drinks, and a front row seat for the costume contest. All tickets must be purchased in advance from www.nyclassmasquerade.charityhappenings.org.
